Core Components:
When choosing my components, I had one goal in mind: to create a system that could handle intensive workloads like web design, video editing, and multitasking while also delivering a seamless gaming experience. Here’s what I went with and why each component stands out:
CPU: Intel Core i7 14700 – This processor is a beast when it comes to multitasking. With its high core and thread count, it effortlessly handles demanding applications, from running multiple design programs to gaming at high settings.
Motherboard: ASUS Z790 Gaming WiFi 7 – Future-proofed with WiFi 7, this motherboard provides incredible connectivity, solid performance, and all the ports I need for my peripherals.
GPU: Gigabyte NVIDIA 12GB 4070 SUPER – The perfect balance of power and efficiency. This card runs my design software smoothly and ensures high FPS in modern games without breaking a sweat.
RAM: G.Skill Flare X5 32GB DDR5 – Speed is everything, and this DDR5 RAM keeps my PC running without any slowdowns, even when I have multiple demanding programs open.
Storage: SK Hynix Platinum M.2 2280 SSD (2TB) – Lightning-fast read and write speeds mean I can transfer huge files in seconds—perfect for my workflow.
Cooling: Thermalright Frozen Notte 360mm Liquid Cooler (RGB) – Keeps my CPU cool even under heavy loads, and the RGB adds a nice aesthetic touch.
Case: Montech King 95 (with +6 RGB fans) – I initially had some trouble getting the fans to sync with my hub, but after reaching out on a Montech Reddit forum, a moderator kindly sent me a Montech King Pro case fan hub for free! The final setup works flawlessly and looks stunning.
Power Supply: MSI AB50GL 850W Fully Modular – Delivers reliable power while keeping cable management clean.
After assembling everything, I was blown away by the speed and performance. Whether I’m transferring large files, running multiple programs, or gaming at max settings, this PC handles it all without breaking a sweat.
The Desk Setup – Aesthetic Meets Functionality
I believe that a workspace should be both beautiful and functional. My desk setup is designed for maximum comfort, efficiency, and style.
Desk & Storage:
Desktop: 6ft x 25in Hevea Butcher Block – I personally sanded and stained this with Varathane Oil-Based Stain (Carrington), sealing it with three coats of clear matte polyurethane for a smooth, durable finish.
Desk Frame: HUANUO 265 lbs Dual Motor Electric Standing Desk Frame – This standing desk frame is sturdy, and I love the programmable height presets.
Storage: Two Black Gianna 5-Drawer Cabinets (on wheels) – These provide ample storage while keeping my workspace clutter-free.
